Symmetry properties of solutions to some semilinear PDEs
Abstract: In the talk I will present some generalizations of the famous
result by Gidas, Ni and Nirenberg, which asserts that the solutions to a
certain class of semilinear PDEs decaying at infinity are radially
symmetric. In a joint work with Farina and Malchiodi, we proved similar
symmetry results under weaker assumptions. The proofs are based on the
moving planes method.
